Just like any parent, I struggle with the day-to-day reality of parenthood but as an ex-Malaysian of Chinese-Indian descent with all of my family back home, I find it hard to reconcile my own childhood with the one I'm trying to provide for my girls. Fiercely proud of the culture and traditions that enriched my youth, I find that it has become imperative that I preserve my heritage for my girls, Little Miss and Pickle (formally known as Thumper), born 2.5 years apart.
And so, as Memory Keeper for our family, I write to chronicle, to archive, to preserve. This will be my legacy for my little ones. Replete with past and future reflections and snippets of our here and now, I guess you could say that this is the long version of the story.
Our story.
